Hitting wise in the second game the bats were silent. Gabe Quaempts had a hit and Miles Thul had 2 hits. On the day, we were able to get everybody in the game and get some needed game experience for some of the younger players.
Grades
Pitching: B (Great Job of working ahead of hitters and only giving up 3 walks on the day!)
Hitting: B-...Had a couple great swings and terrific hitting approach, yet, keeping the mentality and understanding counts, pitch selection, and game situation still needs work (had some help with Pirate defense)
Defense: B+, C-. Did some good things (first third and got the runner out at second, and some bad things...run down that needs to be finished)
Overall: 2 WINS!!!! Next up, Stanfield. They will be a tough opponent and we need to limit extra advances by runners and extra pitches.
